The Great Pumpkin: Fact or Fiction?
We have heard of the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus, but what about the Great Pumpkin? The only one rumored to have seen him has no corroborating witness to validate the claim. Does he really exist?
This issue needs to be resolved once and for all. It started with Charles Schultz and a little boy named Linus, but it has taken on a life of its own. Now, all kids want to know the origins of the Great Pumpkin.
Night Terrors
Imagine This: You wake up to your toddler screaming. You go to her room to find her sitting straight up in bed with her eyes wide open. She’s crying and has a startled look on her face. There’s nothing in the room that should have caused such a reaction, so you assume that she has had a nightmare. But that might not be the case.
It’s possible that your toddler may have had a night terror. These typically occur in children from 2 to 6 years old, and differ somewhat from nightmares. When having a night terror, the toddler is never fully awake and probably doesn’t even know you’re there. She becomes confused and inconsolable, and after you see such a scene you may feel similarly.

Getting and Staying In Shape The WAHM Way
For some reason, it often seems easier to get and stay in shape when you have an outside job. Perhaps it’s the fact that even holding down a job requires some management of time, so fitting in even more things
becomes easier. Maybe there is more disposable income when you work outside the home, so joining a gym is more affordable. With that said, it is possible to get and stay in shape if you’re a work at home mother. Your solutions just may need to be a little less structured and a little more creative.

Let’s Get Organized
If you’re like many Americans, you have more items in your home than you need. As Americans families become more involved in various activities, they have less time to put things away where they belong. This leads to clutter and stress as families go through piles of papers to find their child’s permission slip for the field trip. Worse yet, they may have lost a bill that needs to be paid.
You may have heard that the best way to get organized is to start somewhere. Find the area in your home that bothers you the most. In 15 minute increments, begin going through one pile or drawer at a time.
Raising Eco Friendly Kids
It seems today’s society is becoming totally apathetic to the world around them. Many children in particular are more concerned with playing the latest video game and don’t really pay much attention to the environment around them. It may seem hard to get your children to show an interest in the world around them, but you can get them to care if you start early and take small steps. You may not make a difference overnight, but you may just make a difference in the future of the planet.
