Right now many moms (and dads) are home snow bound either by choice, like me, or by force because the snow is to deep to get out. Some may not have any but are looking for something fun to do with the kiddos to fill the day. I know right now I am looking for fun ways to help curb cabin fever, the little two love the idea of playing out in the snow however they are like me don’t like to be cold.

Christmas Morning Traditions?
This year a lot of things have been running in my mind about my childhood. And Christmas morning keeps popping
up, perhaps it is the fact that Christmas is 4 days away. I remember waking up to to these amazing gifts then a warm breakfast then hours of playing till dinner time. No snow or heck even jackets we lived in So California.
Now as a mom of four I do what I can so when my children are my age they can sit and their memories of Christmas are the same just great presents a yummy breakfast and hours of play time, except here we have over 2.5 feet of snow in the back yard already and today is the first day of winter go figure.
Decorating for Kwanzaa
The decorations utilized to celebrate Kwanzaa are quite beautiful. The symbols traditionally used encompass a variety of items which hold a great deal of history and culture as well.
Here is a traditional Kwanzaa setting which is usually placed in a central location on one’s home. First, a piece of cloth made in Africa is placed on the table. On top of the cloth is the Mkeka or the mat which is the foundation for all essential items to be placed upon. The mat is symbolic of one’s roots. The Kinara, or candle holder, is set in the center of the mat. The candle holder is comprised of seven candles whose colors from left to right are: three red, one black, and three green.

However, if you do not have a Mezuzah at your entrance door, then the Menorah should be placed to the right of the doorframe.

Men Get Stressed Too
I know this blog is more geared toward moms and women, however I wasted to share this with you because it can be a serious thing too.
