501 Ways to Boost Your Child’s Success In School ~ Review

501 Ways to Boost Your Child's Success In School

For your child to succeed in school he may need to do more than just study hard. He must not only develop good study habits but so much more. The author Robert D. Ramsey,is an experienced educator that reveals some tips to help your children excel in school.

Many of the tips involve getting involved as a parent. It helps you understand how attending parent-teacher conferences are important and will help you understand the struggles your child may be experiencing and shares ways to approach and help your child. He goes on to say that meeting with the staff is important and when a crisis should arise, you will know whom to contact. He shares strategies that will help empower the parents.

One thing that stuck out to me is that in 501 Ways to Boost Your Child’s Success in School mentions that good grades are not sufficient for your child to succeed. And how important it is for our children to interact with teachers as well as in groups. Getting involved in sports or clubs is healthy for your child and will help them succeed. Being involved and interacting with will help them when they continue in studies or if they decide to go into the work force right after school. Creating relationships with teachers is important. This will enable the child to seek help when needed and not struggle because of fear.

The author shares techniques that will not only help empower the child but to empower the parent as well. Working together your child will indeed succeed in school, which will in turn lead to more success in life as a whole. This book is a great read for moms of Kindergartners as well as in high school it helps open your eyes to different aspects and how to have a well rounded, successful student.
