Well here cabin fever is still running strong.? Its been freezing out side. literally the highest it has been is like 10 degrees. Way to cold to go out and play.? So I came up with some other ideas that you can do with your children on those days when the weather is not allowing for outside play.
Being inside is not easy for any of us. Especially for our little ones. I have found a few things that can help when we have those days when you stuck in the house to consider before pulling your hair out.
Have a picnic, I am sure you?re thinking why on earth it?s freezing outside. Why not a picnic in the living room? Turn off the TV spread out a blanket and pretend it?s a beautiful day at the park have lunch there and play I Spy or other games that don?t require running.
Plan a scavenger hunt. I think most children this age love Dora and Diego. And from that all want to go on to an adventure. So plant a few fun or interesting items around the house and make a map. Take your map and go on an adventure finding these things.
A few classics I think a lot of us tend to forget about with all we have going on play a card or board game. This is a great way to teach them without directly teaching them, if you do not have any games make your own. This way you can include activities that your little one enjoys or places they are familiar with.
Drawing and coloring are always a hit. However often overlooked, this can keep them busy for hours and helps expand their creativity.

Great ideas for indoor play. My kids would especially enjoy a Dora treasure hunt. I can’t believe I never thought of that. Thanks!

You are very welcome
My daughter actually started it before the weather, Either DH or I would go to the golf course (we live on the golf course) And plant something there and Becky would create a map then off we would go. Then When it got to cold I adapted it. it is a hit with my two
