I am sure we all have some sort of to-do list, filled with the tasks that need to be done on a particular day or week. The lists are usually filled with going to the store, cleaning the kitchen, getting to the bank the list can go on fill of chores that need to be done or things we need to do for our children. This is fine in fact we do this so we don?t forget what needs to be done.
Something I am sure most, if not all of us forget to include something important on our to-do lists, that is Taking time for you; It can be a short 10-15 minutes. During this time is just you time, not oh I need to toss that in the laundry or are we out of milk let me check. This time is to help you focus on you. This time can be spent reading a book or just sitting there vegging. This short time helps you rejuvenate yourself and helps you not get run down near as fast.
If you?re like me, your day time is filled with have tos with the family or work. A few ways to sneak that in could be not hitting the snooze button, most digital alarm clocks their snooze is 9 minutes. So take that extra few snooze minutes and have it when you wake up.Or take it as soon as the little ones are sleeping.I have personally found if I push it back closer to bed time I usually never take that time just for me.
Another idea is when you pick up your child from school leave a few minutes early so you can sit there waiting and have your you time there. Not necessary ideal but you could take a book that is not parenting or business related and relax or listen to a favorite podcast.
So today take a few moments and add ?ME? to your To Do list. You are a mom and wife but you are also YOU and deserve to be high on your to do list too.
