: How Public Schools Lie to Parents and Betray Our children
We’ve seen it in the media, from television to newspapers, the craziness occurring in our public school system. Not only are the school becoming unsafe havens for our children but also the education there are receiving is considered less than mediocre. Amazing how the school system is hiding this major fact from the parents and actually harming the future of our nation.
Public Schools, Public Menace
goes into much detail explaining the results of the many state regulated examinations and how poorly our children are scoring. Unfortunately many parents do not see the failing system. They see the grades that their children are getting as and are quite content. This book states that our public school system is not challenging our children.
Compared to other countries such as China, Korea and India where their grade school aged children are acing the exams given to our high school aged students. This is just one example given to prove how poorly our public school system rates compared to other countries. The system works against the children it is meant to serve, and against the parents who wish to be involved in their children’s education

The author suggests removing your children from the public school system and look at the many alternatives. Aside from private institutions there is also the option of homeschooling. We as parents must take a stand and become more involved in our children’s education. The public school is failing our children and us. Our children are the ones who will suffer in the end if we don’t do something now.
