With Spring here it also means that the want to go outside and enjoy the weather is here as well. The perfect time to get out and start getting rid of the cabin fever that may be lingering since this has been a long winter for a lot of us.
The snow maybe gone or in the process of melting and the days are filled with sun more often now then with clouds. Toddler are getting that itch to just go an enjoy it.
Here are some fun ways that you can help create some fun memories.
Sidewalk Chalk
It is true that preteens and teens tend to get cabin fever and bored to. So I began to brainstorm with my sons some of the things that they like to do. This would also be a good idea to do with your teen to do get some other ideas. This is what we came up with, it?s a good idea to keep a list so when you do get I?m bored from them to pick up the paper and let them pick a something to do.
Sit and make up stories this helps build creativity, but also handwriting. This is also a good way for them to express new ideas and feelings. Sometimes their stories are based on personal experiences, and problems that they are facing. So this can actually begin to help them problem solve themselves various things they are facing.
On the same train of thought is creating plays, this helps in another avenue of creativity and perhaps feed the acting bug that is in a lot of us and our children. A dance contest is also something that can be added to this.
Well, Yes it is cold outside but sometimes no matter what fun activities we have planned during our day cabin fever still hits in a big way. So I started brainstorming some fun ideas to get you and your children out of the house.
Hit the library, most libraries have a story time or a time for little ones to go and interact with others. These are good for both mom and child why the kids can play and have fun while you meet new moms in your area with children of a similar age.

Well here cabin fever is still running strong.? Its been freezing out side. literally the highest it has been is like 10 degrees. Way to cold to go out and play.? So I came up with some other ideas that you can do with your children on those days when the weather is not allowing for outside play.
Being inside is not easy for any of us. Especially for our little ones. I have found a few things that can help when we have those days when you stuck in the house to consider before pulling your hair out.
