How I make Strawberry Jelly
Well I decided today I wanted a PB&J got up to get things ready and no jelly, Yes I could have ran to the store but for me I don’t like the stuff from the store. So I decided to make some. I shared a picture on Facebook and was asked how to make it?? Well here is how I make it.

Ingredients
- 9 cups of strawberries (I use frozen during the off season)
Fast Easy Bean Dip
If you are in need of a healthy snack, or maybe a quick dip for a party this coming week. Here is a neat idea.
For lunch yesterday we had enchiladas rice and black beans, Well we didn’t (which rarely happens) ate all the beans, usually they get shoved in the fridge and forgotten. That totally drives me crazy. So before I could forget they were there I tossed them in the food processor, added the ingredients below turned on low for about a minute and a yummy dip was the result. Even my son who isn’t a big bean eater loved it.
Little Ham Potato Soup Cups
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup diced smoked ham
- 4 sliced green onions
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 (14 oz) can chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup sweet green peas
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups torn up dinner rolls
- 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
Melt butter in a large saucepan; add diced ham, green onions, and minced garlic; cooking over low heat until garlic is fragrant.
Add the mashed potatoes, broth, milk, peas, and thyme, stirring to combine.
Homemade Crispy Onion Rings
Ingredients:
4 large onions, sliced into 1/4 in rings
2 cups all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Buttermilk
Oil for frying
Instructions:
Place sliced onion in a large bowl, season with salt and pepper and cover with buttermilk. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about ½ hour.
Place the flour on a shallow dish, mix in the garlic powder and season to taste with salt and pepper. Each onion ring needs to be dredged first in the flour, then dipped in the buttermilk, the again dredged in flour. Repeat with all the onion rings.
