Babies Love Boxes

Often times us parents often go overboard when buying Christmas presents for their children, especially when that child is their first. What parents find out, after their babies are old enough to sit up and play, is that babies usually love boxes more than the toys that were originally in them.

Don’t become too discouraged. This happens to nearly every parent. When someone suggests that you may not want to spend so much on actual gifts because an infant won’t be able to appreciate them, you might want to listen. If they have children of their own, you may be able to avoid some of the same frustrations they’ve had.

Deciding to Co-sleep Or Not

Dad Watching Baby SleepAt the time of bringing the new bundle of joy home mom is usually fairly rested because she had some help from the nursing staff at the hospital to take care of her baby and herself However, after she comes home, everything changes. In the past moms would put the baby in bed with them so she can get some rest. This is also called co-sleeping. Most parents stopped doing this for various reasons, but this practice is making a comeback. Now many moms are asking themselves, “Should we co-sleep?”

The New Life of a New Parent

When you discover you’re pregnant you probably have no idea just how much your life is going to change. It all starts with morning sickness, food cravings, and food aversions. Add in the extra weight, your hormones going crazy, and feeling like a beached whale. Before you know it, the little bundle of joy has arrived and you’ve fallen head over heals in love with someone brand spanking new to the world.

Mom and BabyThere are so many ways your life will change, especially with your first child. Before there was just you and your partner; now there’s another little person to be concerned about. Gone are the days of being footloose and fancy free, but you won’t mind when you look into that little face.

Sleep What in the World is That

If you’re like a lot of mom to bes while you were pregnant, all your friends probably told you the horror stories of labor and delivery. What they maybe failed to prepare you for was how tired you would be once the baby has arrived. Don’t be surprised if you hear yourself yell, “Help, I need some sleep!”
When the baby comes home it is often normal to have a lot of help at first. During this time you getting enough sleep may not have been so hard. As your little one grows you may notice that finding that sleep is not near as easy as it was.
