Christmas With Jesus And Santa

This has been on my mind for a while, a few weeks ago there was a question posted on Facebook from one of the news pages, ‘ Do your kids believe in Santa?’ then it linked to an article about technology maybe making it harder for children to believe in Santa. Well Yea this can be true there are some very techy kids out there.  As I was reading the comments this one person said My kids believe in Jesus.  Well this got me thinking hard about both.

How to Teach Your Children about Thanksgiving and What It Means to You

It isn’t uncommon for a country to celebrate being thankful at some point during the year. In fact, many countries around the world continue to do so. Explaining these celebrations isn’t always easy. Think about how to teach your children about Thanksgiving and what it means to you as the holiday draws near.

Delve into the history of the holiday. Tradition and fact are often two different things. Learn about the circumstances which led to the first Thanksgiving because children aren’t always taught about this in school any longer. There are surviving documents written by observers of that first celebration. It is also interesting to note the differences of how the holiday has evolved since that time.

10 Frugal Tips to Save This Christmas

Christmas time is coming up pretty quick, I have seen this question around communities a lot, and I figured maybe adding it to one place it would help more to stretch that dollar this Christmas season.

For Meal time

  • Your dinner does not ‘have’ to be ham or turkey, it can be a nice sit down meal.
  • If you are having family over or going to someones house set up a potluck type everyone brings something that is special to them.
  • Make another meal the ‘big’ meal of the day like breakfast or lunch.

Handmade Bubble Baths and Bath Salts

When money is tight, you may not be able to purchase all of the things you’d like to at Christmas. Luckily giving doesn?t have to cost much. Handmade bubble baths and bath salts are easy to make, inexpensive and something many people on your Christmas list will enjoy.

You can make bubble bath mix for one or in bulk, depending upon how many people you have on your list. Below are recipes for large quantities as well as an individual bath. You?ll need the following ingredients for bulk quantities:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1 cup cream of tarter
