Helpful Tip Ideas and ways to help Moms

Its Almost time for the 2009-2010 School Year

Here we are just a week before school starts. This year is bringing mixed feelings in the house,  Becky is starting, Jeffery is going to the high school.  Brendan and Alin seem to be ok with things aside having to go to bed early. Lots of craziness going to be happening over the next week. From the shopping for clothes and supplies to hair cuts and orientations at the schools. Then there is also the running back and forth between home and the high school for football practice. I know this week will fly by and which brings us even more closer to the first day of school.

Tips to Create Your Own Household Planner

Families come in all shapes and sizes. Some families are busy and some are homebodies. If there’s more than one person in the family, knowing how to create your own household planner can help keep everyone in the family more organized.

Household planners can be made from nearly anything, but three-ring binders seem to work best for many families. Purchasing a binder with a clear pocket on the front and back will allow you or your children to create a colorful or pretty cover for it. Choose a 1-inch, 2-inch, or 3-inch binder to meet your family’s needs.

Ways to Help Your Child Cope When a Pet Dies

As adults, we know that animals won?t live forever. Children often don?t understand this and it can come as a shock to them when a beloved pet passes away. Here are ways to help your child cope when a pet dies.

Most children consider pets to be members of the family. Perhaps you had your dog or cat before your child was born and your child was raised with it always being there. They have given your child unconditional love and they will be missed.

Wishful Thinking or a Need to Feel Good

Living with preschoolers is never dull. They are funny to watch and even funnier to listen to. They have great imaginations and tell wonderful stories. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s hard to tell if their stories are lies and if what they say is wishful thinking or a need to feel good about themselves.

One day you may hear them running around claiming to be able to fly and walk through walls. The next day they’re blaming the cat for taking all the pans out of the cabinet. You may not know whether to laugh at them or scold them for not telling the truth.

What a Week its been

Well so far the week has been crazy, as I have shared before I am Bi-Polar and have been having issues with the depression side of it. Well the Dr adjusted my meds last week which has messed up my sleep pattern for the last week, I have had no energy so its made it hard to do much with the kids.

They have been troopers being such great helpers around the house and letting me nap. I make time to do little projects with them then a little snooze here and there. Having to do the daily stuff has been taking more energy then normal I hope this adjustment hurries up soon.

Fun ways to Get You Moving – Hula Hoop and Jumping Rope

With cut-backs in education budgets, one of the areas to suffer is allowing children to have recess during the school day. You know how being physically active can help you feel better, look better, concentrate more, and be healthier than leading a sedentary life. The same is true for your children. Use hula hoops and jump ropes as a fun way to get you and your children moving at home.
