Helpful Tip Ideas and ways to help Moms

Create a Mother’s Day Certificate for Mom This Year

Moms love gifts that come from their children’s hands as well as their hearts. This year your children may want to create a Mother’s Day certificate and poem. It will be something that any mother would cherish, no matter what the age of the children.

If your family is like most, you may have given gifts like flowers, candy, or a nice meal out. Mom isn’t going to complain about any of these gifts, but she may want something that requires a little more thought on your part or the part of the children in her life.

Plan ahead. To avoid a rush, gather all of the party supplies a week in advance. Let everyone brainstorm ideas until the big shopping day arrives. With list in hand, find games and items for everyone.

Dress each guest to celebrate at the party. For the girls, give them a candy necklace. Once the party is over, she can nibble at her necklace for a sweet treat. For the boys, try candy whistles. It’ll be the most delicious sound they’ve ever made.

Staying Motivated during Winter With Exercise

You have worked all year to get in shape. It could have been a New Year’s resolution that got you started.  When winter hits, the weather gets cold and gloomy. Learn to ignore the gloom and doom and stay on track to better health.

During the warmer weather, it is easy to get physical activity. We work in the garden, go for walks in the evening, bike ride with the family, and spend lots of time outdoors. When someone wants to go, we jump up and go.  There seems to be more energy in our steps.
